Koby Caplan, MD
About
Dr. Koby Caplan is a geriatrician and family medicine provider who joined Boulder Community Health in September 2024.
Stemming from a medical family, he was advised by his pediatrician grandfather to “be as happy going to work as you are going on vacation.” So, he chose the field that made him the happiest.
Dr. Caplan graduated from the University of Texas Austin, where he wrote his thesis on the importance of the growth of palliative care. He then completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a family medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He finished his geriatrics fellowship at Mt. Sinai in New York City, where he received Fellow of the Month Honors for May 2024 and a departmental award for Most Enthusiastic Fellow.
His interests include preventative care, humanistic and narrative medicine, falls, patient-centered care, optimizing bowel movements and mental health.
In his free time he enjoys traveling, hiking, singing and songwriting, and finding the best pancakes in the area.
