About

Hannah Jones is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has worked in the mental health field since 2010. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Austin Peay State University in 2010 and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Tennessee in 2016. Since graduating from her master's program, Hannah has completed certification trainings in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Pain Re-Processing Therapy. Hannah has also extensively studied and trained with a variety of international specialty teams in Exposure Therapy/Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy for issues related to anxiety, panic, phobias and obsessive-compulsive related disorders.

Hannah approaches her therapeutic work with the understanding that people are the experts of their own experiences and solutions. She sees her role as a therapist is to provide a space for people to connect with and cultivate that expertise to then make decisions about how they want to live life. She also believes that a good dose of humor, courage, and grace can help with this process!

Hannah is passionate about working with people who experience chronic pain. Throughout her work and personal life, she has witnessed the many ways chronic pain can erode a person's sense of self and connection to what is most important to them. Hannah is here to provide unconditional compassion and safety to people as they go through their chronic pain healing journey. Through this work at the Center for Mind Body Medicine, Hannah knows that people do recover and make transformational changes that can lead to building a meaningful life.
