more than just providing gynecology services, delivering babies and offering
mammograms. We provide comprehensive, integrated women’s health

BCH’s Women's Health Services
Behavioral/mental health: The BCH Counseling Center offers individual and group counseling with psychotherapy and psychiatry to address mental health issues that often affect women. We evaluate and treat menopausal adjustment challenges, depression and anxiety. In addition, our maternity care providers screen for pregnancy mood disorders.
Bone health/DEXA scans: Our quick and noninvasive bone density scans – also called DEXA scans – precisely measure the bone density in the most common osteoporosis fracture sites to identify your risk for future fractures. DEXA scans are recommended for all women over age 65.
Breast health/mammography: Early detection can be your best bet at fighting breast cancer. Our imaging department is a designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and offers the most advanced technology for mammography, helping to detect abnormalities long before you or your doctor could notice them.
If you are diagnosed with breast cancer, you can trust your care to leading cancer specialists at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers on our Foothills Medical Campus. Our compassionate breast cancer nurse navigator will help you handle the logistics of cancer care and is with you every step of the way.
Cancer care: Our
cancer services provide a whole-person, personalized approach to treatment for breast
and gynecologic cancers, as well as other cancers that impact women. In
fact, we are one of the most comprehensive breast cancer programs in Northern
Colorado, fully accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast
Centers (NAPBC). Also, our
Center for Integrative Care offers treatments designed for the healing of body, mind and soul while
patients undergo cancer treatment.
Cardiology/heart health: The highly experienced cardiologists at
Boulder Heart offer expert heart care tailored to women. Many people fail to realize
that the symptoms of heart disease in women can be dramatically different
than those for the same condition in men.
We tailor women’s heart care to focus on heart disease risk-factor
management, diagnostic evaluation and education as a key component in
delivering preventive strategies.
Endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism: The endocrinologists at Endocrinology Associates of BCH - Superior treat conditions that affect women such as gestational diabetes, osteoporosis, weight loss, menopause, type 1 & 2 diabetes, hyperparathyroidism and more.
Gastrointestinal health: Our partner, Gastroenterology of the Rockies, has on its staff one of the few female gastroenterologists in the nation. Kelly Zucker, DO, combines her expertise with cutting-edge therapies for various aspects of digestive health such as colon cancer screening, motility, inflammatory bowel disease and esophageal reflux.
Gynecology: You can count on our experienced, compassionate gynecologists and midwives for routine and specialized gynecology care, from adolescence to menopause and beyond. They emphasize preventive care and early diagnosis, helping to catch any gynecologic problems early during annual well-woman visits and, when necessary, offer effective treatment options.
Maternity care: From your first prenatal care visit, through labor, delivery and postpartum, BCH’s maternity care providers — both obstetrician physicians and midwives — are here to support your maternity journey. With an experienced team always at your side, we're committed to helping you have a happy, healthy pregnancy and the best possible birth experience at our award-winning Family Birth Center. Orthopedics: Some orthopedic issues are more prevalent in women, including anterior
cruciate ligament (ACL) tears, carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis
and plantar fasciitis. Our strategic partners —
BoulderCentre for Orthopedics,
Boulder Bone & Joint and
CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center — are dedicated to providing expert bone, joint and muscle care.
In addition, physical therapists in our
Outpatient Rehabilitation department and at the
CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center can evaluate you and determine your specific needs related to orthopedic
injury, pain or dysfunction.
Pelvic floor care: Urinary stress incontinence (a leaky bladder) and other pelvic floor disorders can severely impact a woman’s physical activities and enjoyment of life. BCH’s compassionate pelvic floor care providers are dedicated to treating the many pelvic disorders that can impact women of all ages.

Our joint venture with CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center offers patients a comprehensive approach to treatment of sports injuries, including physical therapy and advanced imaging services.
Surgery: Our highly regarded women’s health specialists and experienced surgeons offer compassionate care and the latest in minimally invasive approaches to help you quickly return to your daily activities, including robotic-assisted surgery for gynecologic surgery and other surgeries that impact women.
Varicose veins: BCH’s board-certified interventional radiologists — Boulder County’s most experienced team of leg vein specialists — bring special expertise in vascular diseases that allows them to evaluate all potential causes of vein problems and treatment of varicose veins.
Weight loss: BCH’s Weight Loss Medicine Program provides comprehensive care to patients in need of improving their health through lifestyle changes and medication management to address underlying conditions causing or caused by obesity.
