A cancer patient’s journey through treatment begins with an accurate diagnosis. Once we identify your specific, the BCH team develops a treatment plan that is individualized to your unique condition. Our system offers diagnostic services that meet the needs of our patients and help them quickly begin their journey through treatment and into recovery.

Diagnostic Services

Our Laboratory’s experienced and highly trained technologists use advanced equipment to make an accurate diagnoses. Board-certified clinical and surgical pathologists analyze tissue samples to guide cancer diagnosis. We use our affiliation with Mayo Clinic’s reference laboratory for highly specialized tests.

The Imaging Department also plays a vital role in diagnosing cancer. Our board-certified radiologists use state-of-the-art technology to provide accurate diagnoses, including:

• stereotactic breast biopsy mammography
• BSGI (Breast Specific Gamma Imaging)
