BCH Pillar Lecture: How and Why We Use MAT

BCH provider, Carla Keahey, NP, and Program Manager from the Denver Recovery Group West, Jessica Zehm, will describe the basics of Medication Assisted Treatment. Carla & Jess provide the basic pharmacology of drugs like buprenorphine, Suboxone and Vivitrol, why these treatments are so effective, and how they each provide treatments in their respective practices.

Research shows that treatment outcomes are more positive, especially for those struggling with opioid use disorder when participating in MAT. This lecture is for anyone already engaged in MAT, anyone thinking about starting MAT, or those just wanting to learn more.
