BCH Health Segment: C-Section Rates Drop

In a 2020 Denver Channel 7 news segment, BCH gynecologist Dr. Jeremiah McNamara spoke about the drop in C-Sections at Foothills Hospital. In 2020, BCH’s C-Section rate was 13.5%. The national rate is around 30-33% for C-Sections (varies a lot by region). Colorado has always done better than the national average, averaging around 20%.

Dr. McNamara on BCH’s below-average C-section rate: “BCH has always had this as a major priority for us, to keep that number very low. We know it’s very important for our patients, too. We’ve always been very good at that, and we’re proud of it.” Please watch to learn more.
