2025 BCH Foundation Endowment Award Recipients

These awards recognize exceptional commitment to health care and continuing education:

• Pat Shoemaker Award – Sara Boccolucci, pursuing a Family Nurse Practitioner degree, is known for exceptional patient care having received two Daisy Awards.
• Jane Watlington Meyer Smith Award – Mariah Powell, studying for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, has a vision of integrating psychiatric nursing, holistic medicine and music therapy.
• Gail Osterbur Award – Kim Latis, advancing in Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, studies with a focus on individualized mental health care.
• Ron Secrist Award – Alicia Salazar, beginning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, has aspirations to become a Certified Nurse Midwife or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

About the BCH Ambassadors

The BCH Ambassadors have supported Boulder Community Health for over 65 years, raising over $2.6 million through fundraising, an all-volunteer gift shop, and donations. Their mission is to generate funds that enhance hospital services, with significant contributions to programs like the Breast Cancer Treatment Fund and Behavioral Health. The BCH Ambassadors also provide scholarships for BCH employees, volunteers, and high school students pursuing healthcare careers, with applications opening in January.
