Inaugural Behavioral Health Symposium Educates, Inspires

Inaugural Behavioral Health Symposium Educates, Inspires

In a full-day event on Oct. 10, Boulder Community Health’s (BCH) Behavioral Health Department presented lectures and discussions on a variety of topics related to mental health illnesses, patient care and best practices.

All of the informative sessions from the Symposium are available to watch in a playlist online at bch.org/behsymposium. We are especially grateful to our partners at Colorado Center on Law and Policy (CCLP), Rise Against Suicide, Office of Suicide Prevention | Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, Boulder County Law Enforcement & Co-Response and the Boulder County Jail for their Symposium presentations and continued collaboration and dedication to treating mental health conditions in our communities.

The inaugural Behavioral Health Symposium - made possible through generous support from the Boulder Community Health Foundation - featured inspirational and educational topics related to suicide awareness and prevention, law enforcement co-response, provider burnout, and ketamine infusion treatments among others.

The Symposium was held in coordination with a Behavioral Health Open House that occurred Oct. 9. This facility houses all of BCH's comprehensive mental health services in an innovative, thoughtfully designed healing environment.

To all of our guests who attended the Behavioral Health Open House & Symposium, it was an honor to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Della Cava Family Medical Pavilion with you.

As the demand for mental health care in our community continues to rise, Boulder Community Health (BCH) remains committed to evolving and expanding crucial care services.

Our experienced providers are dedicated to offering personalized treatments and innovative therapies – the full continuum of behavioral health needs – in one building. Our “No Wrong Door” approach means patients can find appropriate care via the Emergency Department (ED), Inpatient Unit – the only one in Boulder, the newly rebranded Center for Interventional Psychiatry (CIP), Outpatient Behavioral Health and Primary Care Services.
