On June 11, 2024, Boulder Community Health (BCH) hosted a virtual public meeting to relay our progress and solicit feedback from the community on our 2023-2025 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) Implementation Strategy.
What is the CHNA?
BCH, like all non-profit health care organizations nationwide, uses a systematic process called a CHNA and an Implementation Strategy to identify and analyze local health needs and assets in order to develop meaningful strategies to address those needs. Annually, we evaluate our Implementation Strategy and update it, if indicated.
In our 2023-2025 CHNA, we identified the following community needs:
- Mental Health, Chronic Pain Management and Substance Use Disorders
- Wellness, Preventative Health and Access to Care
– Focus on Health Equity
– Focus on Women’s Health - Chronic Disease Management
– Focus on Aging - BCH and Provider Workforce
Speakers during the public meeting included:
- Grant Besser, Vice President of Public Affairs and President of BCH Foundation
- Ben Keidan, MD, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Boulder Community Health
- Amanda Wroblewski, LCSW, PILLAR program coordinator
- Larry Novissimo, Vice President of Ambulatory Services
- Liz Lycett, MD, Director of Geriatric Medicine of BCH
- Madelyn Hunt, Manager, Case Management
- Grant Besser and Dr. Keidan led the Q&A portion of the evening.
