BCH validated as a HIMSS Stage 7 facility for technology adaptation

Boulder Community Health was just validated as a HIMSS Stage 7 facility for our adoption of technology in both our inpatient and ambulatory locations. HIMSS provides the gold standard benchmark for the use of technology in healthcare and Stage 7 represents the top level of performance. We first achieved this measure in 2020 and were just revalidated under their new criteria with an even higher standard.

Only 295 hospitals (6%) and 3033 (8%) of clinics in the U.S. have achieved this elite recognition, and an even smaller number of organizations have achieved Stage 7 for both inpatient and outpatient settings. As a nonprofit, independent health care system, this achievement demonstrates to the world that the adoption of advanced technology is possible in a community health system with a strong, mission-driven team.
