Strategies for Helping Children, Adolescents and Adults Heal
About 80 percent of people in the U.S. experience at least one traumatic event in their lives, ranging from accidents to physical assaults. Understanding trauma is an important first step in developing a compassionate and supportive community for survivors.
In the third presentation of our four-part “Elevating Mental Health” lecture series, Dr. Janine D’Anniballe will describe the impact of sexual abuse, domestic violence and other traumas on a person’s brain and body. Then she’ll explore strategies and treatment models that help to heal trauma.
