BCH family medicine physician Dr. Monica Bartoli recently sat down with Denver7 News anchor Nicole Brady to discuss a new approach to early intervention in mental health -- incorporating behavioral health specialists into primary care.
BCH now has behavioral health specialists available on site in all of their primary care clinics, making early intervention and access to treatment easier for patients that may need support for issues such as depression and anxiety.
According to Dr. Bartoli, addressing a patient’s emotional health goes hand-in-hand with caring for their physical health. She stated: “One of the biggest things we need to do is look at mental health as health.”
