Welcome beautiful Brooklyn Rylie Bausch: #BornatBCH, the 3rd Generation!
This 6-pound cutie recently joined mom, Lyndi Bausch, and grandma, Shirley Brumage, as a 3rd generation family member born at Boulder Community Health. Brooklyn arrived at 1:21 am on December 11 at BCH’s Foothills Hospital. OB/GYN Melissa Dunn, MD, of Boulder Women's Care, was "absolutely incredible" during labor and delivery, according to mom and dad, Robby Bausch.
"Dr. Dunn walked me through the whole process; she made us feel so comfortable," Robby said. “She had a big smile on her face the whole time. You could just tell it was going just the way it was supposed to. It was perfect."
“Dr. Dunn reminded me how to push and to breathe,” Lyndi said. “And our nurses, Laura and Amanda, were our biggest cheerleaders.” Lyndi said snuggling together as a family in the queen bed while enjoying the Family Birth center’s panoramic Flatirons views was another highlight of their stay.
"BCH has always been the best hospital in this area," said Grandma Shirley, who herself had five children at BCH, starting with her first daughter in 1975. “We come here for everything." After Lyndi’s birth at the hospital’s original location on Broadway in 1986, Brumage worked at the BCH Credit Union, where her sister was the supervisor for many years.
Brooklyn joins a loving family with three older kiddos, ages 15, 13 and 12. We wish all our Family Birth Center familes a magical holiday season!
