BCH Partners with Local Emergency First Responders for Conference on Pre-Hospital Care

This weekend Boulder Community Health partnered with local emergency first responders for a conference at the Boulder Regional Fire Training Center focusing on pre-hospital care.

Several specialists, physicians and paramedics presented on a vast array of topics including BCH's Associated Neurologists Dr. Alan Zacharias on how to recognize acute stroke, BCH Emergency Department Dr. Todd Dorfman on traumatic hemorrhage, responding to patients with mental health issues, airway management and skills, and the pathophysiology of the endurance athlete.

Thanks to all of the caregivers and first responders who made this conference such a worthwhile forum for sharing knowledge, including conference organizers BCH's Deb Hopgood, Joan Palen and Joan DePuy.
