Sarah received her Bachelors of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She then attended the Physician Assistant Studies Program at UT Southwestern’s School of Health Professions in Dallas, Texas, where she earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies degree.
Sarah is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the Colorado Medical Board.
Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Sarah was a Medical Scribe at a Gastroenterology clinic, which is where her interest in Gastroenterology began. For the first 3 years of her career as a Physician Assistant, she worked in the specialties of Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. Her experience evaluating patients with emergent GI conditions furthered her interest in Gastroenterology and led her to pursue a career as a Gastroenterology Physician Assistant.
Sarah is dedicated to providing her patients with exceptional medical care and strives to create an environment where her patients feel valued and understood. She takes an evidence based approach to helping patients decrease symptoms caused by common gastrointestinal disorders. Sarah is passionate about improving the quality of life for those suffering with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases such as Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, but also has a special interest in all aspects of liver disease.
Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her fiancé and 3 year old rescue pup named Buddy. She loves all outdoor pursuits, especially hiking, bike riding and fishing.
