Nicoleta Rus, MD, is an internal medicine board-certified primary care physician at Anchor Point Primary Care in Boulder, Colorado.
Dr. Rus received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Transilvania University in Brasov, Romania. She then completed a second internal medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Amarillo, Texas. Her Texas Tech rotations included ICU, pulmonology, cardiology, emergency medicine, nephrology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, rheumatology and hematology. During this residency, she directed a research and quality improvement project to ensure best-in-class patient care and safety. Additionally, she trained fellow residents, interns and medical students.
Prior to joining Anchor Point Primary Care, Dr. Rus was an attending internal medicine physician at Rocky Vista Heath Center in Parker, Colorado. She provided adult care for chronic illnesses, acute medical issues and wellness as well as prevention education. She also trained residents and conducted internal medicine research projects. At Iona Primary Care in Aurora, Colorado and at BCH, Dr. Rus was a clinical observer. Before moving to the United States, she was an emergency medicine attending physician who treated highly complicated cases for the Central Military University in Bucharest and an emergency resident in Targus Mures, Romania.
Dr. Rus is a certified Zumba instructor who enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors hiking and biking. Her passion for traveling, learning about other cultures and exploring, has taken her to four continents and 23 countries . . .so far.
