About

Dr. Busse is a board-certified emergency medicine attending physician at the Boulder Community Health Foothills Hospital’s Emergency Department in Boulder, CO.

Dr. Busse earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Burlington, VT and completed his residency at the University of Massachusetts Department of Emergency Medicine, where he was a resident physician, chief resident and flight physician.

Prior to joining the BCH Foothills Hospital Emergency Department, Dr. Busse was an attending emergency physician at Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital, Plattsburgh, NY, Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, VT, Avista Emergency Physicians, Louisville, CO (where he was also a partner), Lovelace Hospital, Albuquerque, NM and US Acute Care Solutions – staffing multiple hospitals in the Denver area and Southwest Kansas

When Dr. Busse and his wife are not working, they enjoy spending time with their two daughters, running, mountain biking, skiing, hiking and traveling.

Philosophy of Care
As an emergency care physician, Dr. Busse’s focus is on quick assessment and intervention for patients. He is particularly skilled at handling critical cases compassionately and efficiently, in a fast-paced environment for patients in urgent medical situations.
