Christopher A. Nusser, MD
About
Dr. Nusser is a board-certified diagnostic radiology with expertise in
musculoskeletal radiology who joined Boulder Radiologists, Inc. and Boulder
Community Hospital in 2004. He first came to Colorado for his undergraduate
work at the U.S. Air Force Academy from Garden City, KS. He received his
B.S. in chemistry and biology in 1987 and then went on an AF scholarship
to the University of Kansas Medical School. After receiving his medical
degree, he did his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of
Oklahoma Health Science Center.
After residency, Dr. Nusser spent nine years active duty in the Air Force
fulfilling his incurred educational commitment achieving the rank of Lt.
Col. This included three years at the USAF main teaching hospital and
residency program as teaching staff in musculoskeletal radiology for two
years and one year in thoracic radiology and mammography. He then spent
six years at the USAF Academy hospital as chief of musculoskeletal radiology
and cross sectional imaging from 1998-2004. He gained addition experience
in musculoskeletal radiology with an emphasis in sports injuries. In addition,
he has experience and skill in a wide range of diagnostic radiology, including
image guided biopsies.
Dr. Nusser is a member of American College of Radiology, Society of Skeletal
Radiology, Radiology Society of North America, Roentgen Ray Society, Boulder
County Medical Society, and Colorado Medical Society.
Dr. Nusser is married and has one daughter. Their love of the outdoors
is what kept them in Colorado after separating from the Air Force. Hobbies
include skiing, mountain biking, fly-fishing, hiking, and music.
