Lisa Varga
Physician Liaison
Lisa graduated with a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and an undergraduate in Social Work from Kent State University in Ohio. During Lisa’s early career she worked as a rehabilitation counselor and consultant in the private sector, establishing relationships with physicians throughout Colorado. The relationships and skills from this early career allowed for an easy transition into a physician relations role with a soon-to-open hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. This afforded her the opportunity to learn many aspects of the inner workings of a new hospital and to impact the creation of the physician relations team. She was instrumental in recruitment of physicians to the new medical staff and the promotion of multiple service lines.
After 14 years in this role, and in an effort to continue to grow, Lisa transitioned to a new position where she was instrumental in opening another start up hospital with an emphasis on developing an orthopedic service line. She eventually assumed the role of physician liaison for a regional kidney and liver transplant program. Lisa is an avid tennis player. When not on the courts, she enjoys reading, walking her dog and traveling with her husband. She currently works as the liaison for women’s service lines, GI and urology.
