Community Health Needs Assessment
As an independent, nonprofit health system that has had a completely local Board of Directors for 100 years, Boulder Community Health (BCH) exemplifies the transformative power of giving community members input into health care decision-making.
BCH, like all Colorado health systems, uses a systematic process called a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to identify and analyze local health needs and assets in order to develop meaningful strategies to address those needs. In our 2023-2025 CHNA we’ve identified the following community needs:
- Mental Health, Chronic Pain Management and Substance Use Disorders
-
Wellness, Preventative Health and Access to Care
- Focus on Health Equity
- Focus on Women’s Health
-
Chronic Disease Management
- Focus on Aging
- BCH and Provider Workforce
