About
Dr. Amie Meditz is board certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine. After completing her undergraduate degree at Austin College in Sherman, TX, Dr. Meditz received her medical degree and internal medicine training from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She subsequently completed a fellowship in infectious disease at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2006.
Before joining the Beacon Center for Infectious Disease in 2013, Dr. Meditz was an assistant professor at the University of Colorado. Her original scientific investigations have led to more than 30 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals. Additionally, she received awards in 2012 and 2013 recognizing her outstanding leadership skills and excellence in patient care and research. More recently, she was co-recipient of the 2015 Astute Clinician Award from the Colorado of Public Health and Environment.
Dr. Meditz manages the full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient infectious disease problems. She lives in the Boulder area with her husband and enjoys cooking, hiking, riding horses, running and road biking
