About
Dr. Dodson was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and grew up in Plano, Texas. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1988 and completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1992. In 1995, he switched paths from surgery to family medicine and completed his residency in Albuquerque in 2000.
In 2001, Dr. Dodson joined the faculty at the University of New Mexico and became an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, as well as Associate Program Director of the family medicine residency program.
Dr. Dodson moved to Boulder in 2009 and served as Program Director of a family medicine residency program in Denver. He joined Dakota Ridge Family Medicine in October of 2011. As of Oct. 2022, he is now part of BCH's Anchor Point Primary Care clinic.
Dr. Dodson lives in Boulder with his family. He is an avid reader, snowboarder and enjoys keeping up with technology. He plays guitar and is learning to play the ipu heke.
